Aren’t you excited? I know I am! I just met my fur-ever family and it’s you. I am overjoyed because I can already imagine all of the fun that we will have together. We can go for walks around the town, or if our legs get too tired we can go for a ride around in the car. I love watching the people and buildings fly by through the window! If you want to stay at home, we can play out in the yard and I can even teach you how to play fetch! It’s easy, I promise. We could also just cuddle up on the couch to a good movie and some popcorn, or doggy treats in my case. Before coming home to you, I will even be up to date on my puppy vaccinations and I will be vet checked, so we can get right to the good stuff once I get there. I am so ready to make memories with you so hurry and bring me home!
puppy rottweiler for sale
Puppy rottweiler for sale are the best breed in the world, but we firmly believe they are not a dog for everyone. Rottweilers require a calm, stable, and firm “pack leader” or they will assume that role for you. Puppies AND adults need socialization, exercise, and stimulating mental challenges. With these things, you will have a wonderful companion; without them, your Rottweiler may become destructive and out of control.
Rottweilers are a powerful breed with well-developed genetic herding and guarding instincts. Potentially dangerous behavior in Rottweilers usually results from irresponsible ownership, abuse, neglect, or lack of socialization and training. However, the exceptional strength of the Rottweiler is an additional risk factor not to be neglected. It is for this reason that breed experts declare that formal training and extensive socialization are essential for all Rottweilers. According to the AKC, Rottweilers love their owners and may behave in a clownish manner toward family and friends, but they are also protective of their territory and do not welcome strangers until properly introduced. Obedience training and socialization are required.
The Rottweiler’s energy level ranges from couch potato to whirlwind. Be sure to tell the breeder what kind of energy level suits you so she can help you choose the best puppy for your lifestyle. Moderately active Rottweilers will appreciate a couple of 10- to 20-minute walks each day. They also enjoy playing with balls and going hiking. More energetic Rotties may need longer exercise times and more structured activities. Their athleticism, intelligence, and trainability make them well suited to agility and obedience competition, as well as tracking, therapy work, and their traditional job, pulling a cart or wagon. Perfect for parades!
When training your Rottweiler, keep in mind that he thrives on mental stimulation. He likes to learn new things and is eager to please you. He might be willful at times, with a “Show me why I should do this” attitude. Be fair, consistent, and firm, and your Rottweiler will reward you with his quick ability to learn.
